East’s Hidden Gem: D’Doux - Cafe & Patisserie and D'Kada Cafe & Bistro

East’s Hidden Gem: D’Doux - Cafe & Patisserie and D'Kada Cafe & Bistro

Craving for home-baked treats and hearty meals of the freshest ingredients visit D'Doux-cafe & patisserie and D'Kada-cafe & bistro at the 2nd level of Robinsons Metro East and at the ground level of Ayala Malls Marikina (opening soon at Ayala Malls Feliz).

Highlighting flavors with cross cultural influences- Filipino & Mediterranean, Asian & Italian, their menu ranges from breads, pastries & cakes, salads, pastas and rice meals.

D'Doux is Latin for sweet while D'Kada is a play on decade or life continuity inspired the owners who love to travel and lovers of art and design to put up a place where breads & pastries are baked fresh daily and meals are cooked upon order maintaining its quality.

The interiors are whimsical, quaint with a real Sampaloc tree in the middle of the store, bird-shaped lights hanging from the ceiling with walls adorned by greens and flowers and other assorted ornaments.

I got to try D’Doux delectable sweet delights. At first I was a bit overwhelmed thinking each item would be expensive since it was beautifully presented and looked oh so appetizing too.

Their mini cakes were superb. Placed in their signature box they have several options to choose from, I got to try their Mango Citrus and Choco Moist selling for Php 145 each. Their Choco Moist was so decadent with it’s chocolate ganache layers.

Each cookie costs Php 78. I couldn’t believe how generous the toppings were like the dark chocolate and white chocolate. Dark Choco Chip Cookie and White Choco Cranberry Ccokie were affordable and such a great treat to cookie lovers.

Fruitcake Bar (750g) (Php 395) holidays won’t be complete without Fruitcake. It was certainly heavy with candied fruits mixed into the bread. Banana Loaf and Pineapple Upside Down Cake weighs 650g each and cost just Php 195. Soft and moist these are perfect with tea and coffee. I personally liked their Banana Loaf, I toast it a bit and have it with a glass of milk.

I think they offered really good options for gifts or sweets to bring at a family and friends get together that is easy on the pocket as well. Check them out if you are in the area. I’d totally come back for their cakes and cookies. Super love their Dark Chocolate Cookie 🤤
