Bursting Asian Flavors at Nanyang

Bursting Asian Flavors at Nanyang

Nanyang in Chinese means Southern Ocean and related to this is the Southeast Asia countries surrounding the South China Sea. A country pretty close to my heart is Singapore. I love the cleanliness and ease of going around; most especially their food at Hawker Centres which gives the most authentic taste of their culture.

Nanyang, a Singaporean inspired restaurant trained their kitchen staff and baristas in Singapore because they value tradition and stick to how most dishes and drinks are made. They also serve some Southeast Asian favorites on their menu. Kopi is prepared from ingredients sourced from Singapore exactly how Singaporean do their coffee in kopi tiam (coffee shop)

A known snack in Singapore that goes perfectly with kopi (coffee) or teh (tea); toasted slices of bread - either kaya spread, butter and eggs. Nanyang also served toasts with floss or peanut butter. For half the original price, you can get kopi/teh and 2 half-boiled eggs.

Traditional Kaya Toast (Php 70)
Floss Multigrain Thick Toast (Php 90)
Peanut Butter Multigrain Thick Toast (Php 70)
Order any beverage and just pay half of its original price.

Cheese Chicken Chop Noodle (Php 238)
Crispy golden brown chicken slices drizzled with nacho cheese on top of noodles that was mixed in traditional homemade sauce.
Hainanese Chicken Rice (Php 268)
Rice cooked in chicken broth with tender chicken that has been sub-boiled which makes the chicken moist and juicy. Served with fresh ginger (of course) and chili-lime sauces.

Homemade Nasi Lemak (Php 238)
Coconut rice and crispy chicken slices with boiled egg, peanuts, anchovies and sambal sauce. Their Nasi

Curry Chicken with Rice/Toast (Php 248)
Chicken curry with potatoes. My favorite dish among the ones we've tried. It came with plain rice.

Fish Ball Noodle Soup (Php 198)
Choose from: Chicken Sausage, Luncheon Meat or Fried Chicken Wing, Light noodle soup with veggies, fish ball and a choice of your topping.

Their food are definitely affordable and the quality is up to par. I would go back for their Curry Chicken with rice which had the right amount of spiciness. I like to try their Mee Siam next time.

It will soon open its next branch in SM Pampanga. Follow their social media accounts which I included below :)
